Residential satisfaction within selected public housing estates in Lokoja Kogi State, Nigeria

Residential satisfaction has been assessed by various authors, who reported varying degrees of dissatisfaction and satisfaction. However, the differences in among housing components remain an issue. The study investigates residential specific estates Lokoja, Kogi State, aiming to understand aspects that contribute research collected responses from 215 residents employed statistical analysis using SPSS version 21. Among four sub-components examined, levels varied. Housing unit attributes had lowest level at 48.95, indicating poor socio-economic (57.74), neighbourhood (56.87), management (56.51) showed moderate levels. Significantly different were found these sub-components, as demonstrated Kruskal-Wallis test outcomes. Satisfaction with (λ2 =14.34, df = 2, P<0.05), =8.33, =9.70, P<0.05) all statistically significant. Interestingly, attribute =2.88, df=2, P>0.05) was not significant due high resident involvement management. suggests revising government policies regarding public emphasizes throughout process enhance across sub-components.
